Spiritual Memoirs
I write travel memoirs about the messy, holy business of being human—divorce, sobriety, yoga, self-worth, and the long road home to yourself. I’ve spent most of my life wandering from Alaska to Sri Lanka, turning questions into pages and departures into tiny pilgrimages. You’ll find those stories in my books: Rituals of the Soul, A Temple of Her Own, and my upcoming sober-curious memoir, Sip Happens.
Sri Lankan Sanctuary
The Artist’s Cottage is my three-bedroom writer’s retreat tucked inside an Ayurvedic garden in the sweet little surf town of Ahangama, on Sri Lanka’s palm-lined southern coast. It’s everything you need to reconnect with the thick jungle, your body, and your creative work—porches for notebooks, hammocks for daydreams, dogs at your feet. Here, Ayurvedic curries, gentle longboarding waves and slow evenings turn life back into something you can actually taste, feel, and write about.
Soul-Soaked Trips
When the stars line up just right, we gather for soul-soaked journeys to Sri Lanka and India—temples, music festivals, riverbanks, and notebooks in hand. These are once-in-a-lifetime spiritual pilgrimages designed to jump-start your heart and your art: sitar-infused writing workshops, sunrise yoga, and small circles of women who are ready to see the world and themselves differently. Think: trips that follow you home long after your suitcase is unpacked.
